They’ll do everything you want as a normal thing… you shouldn’t have to ask them to massage your thighs, inner or outer. That’s just understood. If you don’t want them to do it, you should tell them. If you have a specific place that’s bothering you, you should tell them that, also, so they can focus on it. The only places that they won’t touch are the breasts around the nipples (they may work on your chest muscles), and your genitalia.
No stomach or lower stomach. Legs yes, but not the inner thighs. Butt maybe as part of the upper leg.
You will enjoy it immensely. If you have any sensitivities or you don’t want to be touched in certain places, do tell the masseur. They are more then happy to taylor their routine.
Full body massage can include everything except the gentialia and female breasts. I do not do abdominal massage unless requested by the client. For a first-time massage recipient, my pattern will usually go: Starting face down, work the back, neck, shoulders, arms, legs and glutes (including inner thighs), and feet. Flip over. Face up: Legs and feet (again with inner thighs), arms and shoulders, upper chest, neck, face and scalp.
You’ll be draped with a sheet or towel to make sure you are not exposed during your session.
I only do the chest, abdomen, glutes and inner thighs when asked. It also depends on how they ask and if it’s medically relevant to do those areas.
Glutes are pretty common to do. Abdominal work is only done either at request or if I think it is necessary. But that’s usually more trying to solve a specific problem. Abdominal is done lots in pre-natal massage, though.
Inner legs are done – but to a point. Most therapists have boundaries and won’t go too far up the leg to make the client uncomfortable.
I pretty much have the same routine. Client prone, back, legs, feet. Supine – legs, feet, arms, upper chest, neck – and scalp and face if the client wishes.
Most intake forms will ask if you’ve had a massage before – and if not, they will explain what they’re going to do, and allow you to ask questions or decline certain parts of the massage.
