Question by obubbleteao: My left boob has been sore/in pain for months…?
Hi,
So first off let me tell you that 1.) I had my son 19 months ago..I haven’t breastfed in 14 months!
2.) I’m not pregnant 3.) I was checked by my doctor 3 months ago and she examined my breasts but said there was nothing wrong… She told me to use hot/cold compresses to relieve the pain. Well, Here I am and the the pain is killing me! I’ve still had it, Still in pain. It’s only my left boob..except now I’m experiencing pain on my shoulder/back (and it’s extremely tense, it feels like a rock if my husband tries to massage it)..It feels better after wards but the pain comes right back.
- I thought it was strange when my doctor was examining my left boob she said,” OH is that where you feel the pain? “…I’m guess she felt a slight lump or something??? but said there was nothing wrong…

Can anyone help me? Should I go back to my doctor??? She really didn’t help the last time I went..

Also, I thought It could’ve been my bra (except my right boob doesnt hurt AT ALL) so I went to get “bra fitted” and nothing has changed
My fiance’ has a pain in her lower back almost everyday. When i massage it i notice that her muscles are almost rock hard/knotted until i massage them. Her doctor has prescribed her with meloxicam which is an arthritis medicine, the medicine does not help at all any other suggestions, besides icy hot, or ibuprofen/pain meds or some sort of diagnosis?

Answer by pressy
Does she have a desk job or is she a nurse. Those two occupations produce a lot of low back injuries.
Have her ask her Dr for a referral to a Physical Therapist. At least she will get an actual diagnosis.

Question by .: Upper shoulder pain and stiffness, how to relieve?
I have really stiff shoulders, and ive tried everything to help them go away but they never do! I just have such horrible knots in there. I had a chiropractor tell me it feels like I literally have rocks in there Couldnt afford to see him anymore :/

Ive tried massages, hot baths (with epsom salt), all sorts of relaxation techniques and such.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Please dont tell me to see a doctor. I dont have insurance anymore.

Best answer:

Answer by Greg S
Hi,
I have had the condition you described on and off for the last 30yrs.
I have tried every remedy known to mankind to no avail. I saw a
segment on TV one day on how to relieve pain with rice (stay with
me now) They had a fancy version with fancy tassels and fabric.
All you need is a 5lb bag of cheap white rice (around -2). an
old t -shirt, and either a needle and thread, or a sewing machine,
I promise it is not hard-I am not a sewer, but if you can thread a
needle, you can do this;if not they sell them at stores for about
10 times the amt. Cut off the tshirt right below the sleeves evenly and sew that end of the tshirt shut (you don’t have to be fancy with
the stitch just make sure it’s tight) Then fill the open end with the
bag of rice, Sew the open end the same as the other end. Split
the bag of rice into two sections (use your hand, a ruler, whatever.
Now sew the bag right down the middle (should be about two 6in
wide sections when done. Put it into the microwave for about 5min.
or until the bag is hot to the touch but not steaming. While you are
waiting, take any type of arthritus strength med. Take the bag out
of the microwave, find a recliner or a high back chair and position
the bag where it hurts. If the pain is on both sides, Spend about
20min on each side. Do some arm rotations when done. You won’t
believe how easy this is to make-I have made them for my whole
family and they love them. For less then an hour of time and the
price of a bag of rice, you can be pain-free. At least until next time.
Good luck. Let me know if it works. Oh, you can also use this for
other parts of your body-I have Fybermyalgia and it has become
invaluable to me.
Bobbie

Image taken on by .

If you suffer from back pain, you are not alone. As many as not 8 out 10 people suffer from some sort of back pain. You may suffer from a dull, constant ache to a sudden sharp pain. Although there is a wide spectrum of back pains, in general there are two groups: acute back pain and chronic back pain. Acute back pain is typically is a temporary condition and you may recover within a few days or even a few weeks. On the other hand, chronic back pain, lasts for longer periods of time. Unfortunately, with chronic back pain the expected healing time for the identified cause may persist even after the cause has been treated. In time you either become more accustomed to the pain or you can seek relief from the pain.

Typically, there are many potential cures for back pain ranging from acupuncture, massage to acupuncture to pharmaceutical drugs. Most unfortunately, the most widespread relief of back pain is taking pharmaceutical drugs. However, there are alternatives. The next most common relief of back pain is massage therapy. Many studies are pointing out that massage is effective for both acute and chronic pain. Unlike pharmaceutical drugs, massage is a totally natural remedy. In many cases, your back pain is caused by the misalignment of bone, tissue, muscle, and ligaments. In these cases, dulling the pain certainly will not solve the problem. On the otherhand, massage works on elongating, stretching, and soothing the muscles and ligaments in a natural way.

Massage Chairs for Back Pain? The best massage chairs on the market today have extraordinary capabilities. Many massage chairs can perform Shiatsu massage, Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage and many others. These massage chairs perform a body scan to detect your acupressure points for a Shiatsu massage. The shiatsu chair will then tailor the position of the massage rollers to stimulate your acupressure points. This Acupressure massage helps the flow of natural healing based on the pathways that flow throughout the body.

You can find some massage recliners that incorporate the Swedish massage technique. Thie Swedish or Classic massage technique uses flowing, long, strokes to stretch and elongate tight muscles. Select a Deep Tissue massage and enjoy a penetrating, soothing massage. With the Deep Tissue technique, the massage cair program will start more superficially and then begin penetrate layer by layer. This approach relieves aching, sore, and tired tendons and muscles. You can enjoy these massage therapies with the touch of a button with a shiatsu massage chair.

Heat therapy helps to loosen and relax tight, sore muscles and effectively reduce pain. Heat is more effective than cold for treating chronic pain. If you suffer from arthritis, heat is more effective for muscle relaxation. The premier massage recliners come equiped with full body heat. Heating elements with individual controls are buit in the chair back, the seat and the footrest. These therapeutic massage chairs are very effective in relieving suffering from back pain.

Music therapy is a complimentary relief and natural remedy to reduce the disability, anxiety, and depression associated with chronic pain. Many shiatsu massage chairs have a built in MP3 player. Music therapy induces relaxation, helping you to let your stress and anxiety go.

Why not use technology to really reduce the pain and anxiety associated with your back pain. Technology is being incorporated at a faster rate into massage chairs. If you are looking to relieve your acute or chronic back pain, massage therapy is the natural answer. You can find a masseuse or a massage chair. A massage therapist is great, but you are limited to a particular time and place. On the other hand, a massage chair is ready and waiting for you. You can find a broad range of of massage therapies built into the massage chairs of today. With the touch of a button you can find relief within the comfort and privacy of your own home. If you got back pain, your best friend is a shiatsu massage chair.

Back pain is never an ailment that is pleasant to endure and handle on a regular basis. Sometimes the sensation lasts in one area of the body and other times it can spread to the entire part of the back. Back pain is known to be in the nerves, muscles, joints, bones and other areas in the spine region.

Back pain can be caused by overexertion or overextending the body by pulling the muscles too far and causing it to strain. Massaging the areas of the back helps to undo the knots and relieves the trigger point pain. The use of a self back massage will help with reducing and eliminating the pain from occurring.

Several risk factors that indeed cause back pain or the reason for developing it such as smoking, stress, anxiety, depression, strenuous job that physically wears the body out, smoking, obesity, jobs that do not allow for much movement.

The top massage tool is the massage chair which is helpful to relieve the muscles spasms, and tight knots in that section of the body. Spending approximately 10-15 minutes on a massage chair helps to relax the body and stimulate blood flow in the body. This helps the individual to feel more awake, reduce a sluggish and fatigue feeling, along with stimulating more energy in the body.

The benefits of the chair massage tools is that it provides::

· Increases productivity

· Reduces stress and anxiety levels

· Improve the quality of sleep

· Increases attention span and concentration levels

· Reduces muscles spasms

· Improves vitality and the body’s immune system

· Improves blood circulation

Human Touch Luxury Massage Chair

One of the newest massage chairs available is the Human Touch Luxury Massage Chairs which gives a feel as if human hands were used to massage the sore areas of the body. Using this product for at least 15 minutes a day will help the body bring it to a point of relaxation and reduce pain.

This massage chair uses several massage techniques which consists of the Kneading massage technique which is very helpful to relieve tension and soreness of the muscles, the Compression massage technique that helps with applying pressure to the muscles and joints. The Rolling Massage technique which uses a rolling up and down motion through applying pressure on the back and throughout the spine area. Finally the last technique used is the Percussion Massage uses a tapping motion on the spinal joints and muscles.

This massage chair will help to relieve back pain through the various type of massage techniques available on this product.

Sanyo Zero Gravity Massage Chair

This massage chair provides a full body massage with four sections which includes for the neck, back, legs and feet. It provides several types of massage to give the individual a full range of options to choose to from such as Calf Massage, Compression, Kneading, Percussion, Reflexology, and Rolling. It has a Personalization feature which allows the individual to adjust the height and width settings of the massage chair using a remote controller. The chair also has a scanning system, that scans the body to map out the areas to determine which parts of the body needs massage therapy the most.

Pros and Cons of Massage Chairs:

The cons of the massage chair is that it takes up space and cannot be carried to other convenient locations. Also the price of these chairs can get a bit on the pricey side so it is important to watch for sales on these type of products.

The positives about these type of massage chairs is that they provide a large array of features such as rollers that give full support to the neck, back and legs. It primarily kneads, has automatic program settings, ease of use, vibration for all areas of the chair, adjustable for full comfort, remote controllable, and other built-in features.

Overall these massage chairs are able to massage the entire body simultaneously at the same time or by the individual’s preference of which area of their body to massage.

Did you know that 4 out of 5 people will suffer from back pain? That is 80% of the population. Our backs take a beating and pain and discomfort is the result. Of the 4 people only half will actually seek treatment. The other half will live with the discomfort. If that half only knew that Hawaiian massage therapy is a great way to get relief, they might be more tempted to actually get help.

Hawaiian massage has a long history. It was originated by the ancient Polynesians medicine men. They learned different methods that help to increase healing within the body. These techniques involved the use of the hands pressing stronger and stronger to penetrate deep into the muscles. They also used gentle swaying motions to loosen the muscles and provide relief.

The medicine men of old from the Hawaiian Islands saw healing holistically. They understood holistic relationships to problems and to cures. They viewed the body as having energy flow and that certain conditions could impede this flow. Through much trial and error they developed ways to manipulate the energy flow in the body. They could get the energy to flow where before it was blocked. This brought back healing to the affected areas.

Hawaiian massage uses flowing, rhythmic motions that help to loosen and elongate muscles. These rhythmic motions feel like waves moving about the body. These full body strokes help to release blockages to the energy flow in the body, releasing tension and soothing aches and pains. The swaying motions are also coupled with more pressure to work deeper into the muscles. The Hawaiian massage helps to bring back flexibility to sore and aching muscles and tendons.

If you are interested in the Hawaiian massage, you may be interested to know that massage chairs have picked up the technique. Top tier massage companies like Omega and Panasonic have replicated the most beneficial movements in their recliners. Panasonic has specialized programs just for Hawaiian massage. These are very effective in relieving back pain. Omega has a wonderful sway massage which gentle, but firmly loosens muscles and eases aches and pains. These chairs are very effective in delivering these special massage therapies.

Massage chairs have made so many incredible advances. Who would have thought you could get a Hawaiian massage? These advanced recliners have a variety of massage therapies to choose from for whole body relief. If you suffer from back pain, then maybe the Hawaiian massage technique is right for you. Consult your care provider. Let a massage chair soothe your aches and pains with a relieving Hawaiian style massage.
