Something must be done to end corrupt practices of credit-rating agencies
We need to pay some attention to the credit-rating agencies, which bestowed AAA ratings on hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of dubious assets that turned out to be toxic waste, writes columnist Paul Krugman. It’s a deeply corrupt system that financial reform, as currently proposed, wouldn’t fix.
