my 11yo daughter likes her body massaged?
Posted: March 18th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: masage supplies | Tags: 11yo, body, daughter, likes, massaged | 13 Comments »hey i need some advice bout my daughter..she is 11yo and likes to be massaged by her cousin ellen who is older…i dont see nothing wrong with it…but i do see a prob with her being nude while its happening..she says its easyer that way..i dont think shes into girls…i think she should be clothed if she wants it done….is that ok that she likes being massaged… I told my mom my opinion but she says that ellyn is a good person and would not think of sexually molesting her. I do know ellyn is a good person and I really dont think ellyn would do anything inapproprite to her.
Are you serious? There is no need for an 11 yr. old to be nude for anything except taking a shower (by herself). I wouldn’t even do that to my own child. I will rub their backs or legs but clothing is not optional. It stays on!
as a mother, you should ALWAYS trust your first instinct. your daughter should never be undressed like that when someone is touching her in any way unless its her doc and you are present. im glad that you trust the cousin but you are her mother and your instincts are the best thing your daughter has going for her. this is very inappropriate! ALSO, i would be questioning why an older cousin would be so willing to do this in the first place! if she is older than that means she knows more and is more aware that this is not normal. i would really be questioning that. 11 is a precarious age. anything older KNOWS BETTER.
i never heard of anybody giving an 11 yr old a massage unless its physical therapy.thx for the 2 Pt’s
I would say it depends on how close you are to Ellen and do you trust her 100% with your child. Also, is she a massage therapist or just good at massages.
If you teach that there is something wrong with the human body then she could become ashamed and that will mess her up in the future, but she needs to realize the meaning of modesty and privacy. BUT, is Ellen is a real masseuse then people take their clothes off with them all the time. But they are normally over 18.
Personally I’d tell her that it’s ok to be comfortable with her body, but until she is an adult, she should at least wear panties and a bra at the very least, but preferably a tshirt and shorts. Once she’s an adult she can make that choice for herself.
Start having her massaged where you can see what is going on. I agree I don’t think she needs to be nude. But massages are good for your body at every age they get the blood moving through your body.
If you get a professional massage you nude, and that way you get the best results. I would suggest you being in the room next time and she cover her “girl parts” too, but other than that, nothing is wrong.
I would put an end to that straight away, it is completely unnecessary for her to be naked while the massaging takes place,
I’m not saying that anything weird is going on but ellyn is not trained in massage and I’m sure your 11 yr old doesn’t need a massage so much that she needs to take her clothes off., id be a bit freaked out even if they had their clothes on.
It must be playing on your mind for a reason, you must think it is odd otherwise u wouldn’t want to know our opinions.
I’m 14 and i like being massaged but i really don’t let anyone do it except my mom, and i wear clothes. But saying that she has to wear clothes out front might be concerted demanding and controlling, (by her) so if i was you i would make her wear a bathing suit. Hopefully you can sit her down and you guys can come to terms with that. If you come out and demand she has to wear clothes she might rebel against it just to rebel against it, but just say you really want her to wear a bathing suit(in a very nice way) she’ll prolly just go along with that.
Mom I think you’re being a bit naive. Are the two of them alone in the room when this happens? It has sexual undertones to me. How much older is her cousin? If this is to continue you need to be in the room with your daughter. She should also be wearing something to cover her private parts for lack of a better word. But I don’t get it? Is this cousin a massage therapist? This just doesn’t seem right to me.
At least make her wear a swimsuit or leotard. Being nude, and wanting to, as an 11 year old girl is very odd.
A nude massage is a normal part of female bonding. There is nothing sexual or inappropriate about it.

I don’t blame you for being worried. It does sound a little unusual. I would say she should keep her clothes on while getting the massage. So she won’t feel comfortable nude in front of people with her being so young she might think its no big deal and do similar things when she gets older. Reguardless of if your daughter and ellen are related you should still be a little cautious.
The fact she likes being touched while nude by older people can’t be good. And could lead to trouble if something happens in the future and shes in a situation like that. I’d watch out even though their cousins you can never be too careful!!!
