MTF Research Grant Recipient Published, Receives 2011 Dr. Rogers Prize
Posted: October 11th, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: massage | No Comments »In 2008, the Massage Therapy Foundation awarded a research grant to Dr. Marja Verhoef and her colleagues in the faculty of medicine at the University of Calgary on “Descriptive Combined-Methods Study of Alberta’s CAM Manual Therapists.”
Their research was recently published in September 2011 in Complementary and Alternative Medicine which can be accessed here.
Additionally, Dr. Verhoef was awarded the 3rd biannual Dr. Rogers Prize on Friday September 23, 2011. Funded by Vancouver’s Lotte and John Hecht Memorial Foundation, the $250,000 Dr. Rogers Prize is the largest of its kind in North America in the field of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) and Integrative Health Care (IHC).
