I’m looking for a space to rent and I don’t know how many square feet I need I’ve never gone room hunting like this before. I’m looking for a space that has a decent size reception area enough space for a front desk with space for a computer and an all in one machine and a working area on the desk and a room or two. I’m a massage therapist so I need a room that I can walk around comfortably in and maybe store my stuff or have like a storage room type thing. I do other things aside from massage what I need storage for are my sheets my hot rock heater the rocks my paraffin heater and my wax my salt scrub my hand and foot tubs and my towels and robes.
Any help or suggestions on what to look for would be great.

You need at least a 500 – 700 sq ft commercial space conservatively. Let’s start taking account on the area you need. You need one or two message room as one room for setting up patient for electronic messages; another for physical message. Whether you are going to have a receptionist or not, you will need to have a reception/waiting area also functions as a small office behind the reception desk. You want a roomy storage room for all supplies. A restroom is nice but you may have to share restroom in most places. One important detail, you should only consider leasing space on the ground floor and is approved by American Handicapped Society for handicapped accessibility. Look for space that you don’t have to pay a high maintenance and property tax because they add up rather quickly. Find one next or close to the doctor’s office is great! You can consider a bigger place up to 1,000 sq ft and share expenses if you can team up with another therapist. Lots of luck to your new business
