The spa I go to offers prenatal massage but I do not know how far along you have to be…I do know they have special tables for pregnant women.

My sister had one when she was about 8 months so yes you can. She said it was the best they do a special one for preg. woman and they have a special table that has a whole where your belly goes and there is a net under it so your belly is not just hanging there. They also have another type where you just lay on your side and they do it that wasy and then you turn to the other side..

I had one done at 25 weeks. It was wonderful-but they take it easy on you-and you need to go to someone who has experience in the massage. You start out on your back-with pillow for you head-you get most of your message this way-then you roll over to your left side where they massage your back, neck, and arms. They also rub the tummy.

I had a massage when I was about 8 months pregnant. You basically lie on your side and they will massage you that way. You can get one, but first, get an ok from your doctor. Then, find a massage therapist who is definately qualified to do pregancy massage (I think there are parts of the body that should not be stimulated when pregnant, somewhere above the ankles). If you aren’t sure go to the American Massage Therapists Association to get a referral…. http://www.amtamassage.org/findamassage/locator.aspx

    Good luck!

You sure can. I had a lot of back pain with my 2nd child. My chiropractor recommended I get a massage it was great. First find one that deals with pregnancies. I laid on my right side with my leg slightly bent towards my belly then moved to my left. Definately go for it.

I got prenatal massages throughout my pregnancy about every month. My doc told me it was fine…but to
NOT go to a place where you lay on the table with the hole cut out. He said that it’s not good for your belly to “hang” for that long of a period. The place I went to just has you lie of your back and they would do your head and neck and shoulders and then legs. Then you (with their help) would flip to your side and they would do your back of leg and your back; the vice versa. I would definately recommend one to any pregnant woman!

Alot of massage therapists would not massage a client 6-7 months pregnant for cautionary reasons..

YES! :) just make sure they know prenatal massage because there are specific places that you should not get massaged when pg.
my massage therapist is wonderful, some have a bed with a cut out for your belly, she doesnt, so i lay on my side, with my upper leg drawn up, you know like with your knee up? does that make sense? anyway it’s so comfortable and it really does help to relieve a lot of tension.
if you do get a full body really remember to drink a looooot of water to flush those toxins that were released, especially being pregnant it’s important to flush them out.
