I’ve had a Backnobber II for many years now. It’s easy to use, so you will tend to use it. I probably have fibromyalgia in that everthing hurts, but it’s concentrated in the upper back and sides, shoulders, neck, and arms. It takes only a few minutes to dissolve those painful knots. The pain stays away for an extended period of time. The Backnobber is a small miracle. It comes with a very good manual, which is also available online.

The Thera Cane is an interesting alternative that I may try someday, but it looks somewhat complicated. Here’s what the webpage for Clair Davies’ THE TRIGGER POINT THERAPY WORKBOOK says:

“The Backnobber isn’t quite as versatile as the Thera Cane but many people prefer it because the knobs are smoother and of different sizes. The smaller knob is especially effective for the back of the neck and the top of the shoulders. The Backnobber’s great advantage is that it comes apart in the middle to fit handily into a carry-on suitcase.”

My family loves the backnobber 2 and the smaller one. It’s so much better to not have to ask someone to massage your back for you!

The Original Backnobber II by the Pressure Positive Company, Purple This product is so fantastic! I really love the fact that I can quickly work out my knotted muscles with this tool, and as a massage therapist, I work on everyone else, so I need to be able to have some time for self-care, and this product allows for that. The book that accompanies it is wonderful, great illustrations and very descriptive. I tell all my patients about it, and am very satisfied.

As someone who seems to get frequent “knots” in my shoulder and back area, I was on the lookout for something that might provide some relief between massage appointments. I decided to try the backnobber after looking at various items online purported to provide similar results. I found this tool to be absolutely amazing. Not only does it provide significant improvement in my “knots” and discomfort, the results make for a more effective massage when I go to get one. Try it…you’ll like it!
